United By Common Goals
I stand by three core tasks we must accomplish to improve our schools:
Academic improvements are sorely needed.
- Teachers must have dedicated time to develop class plans, free from administrative distractions.
- We must establish programs to improve student knowledge of American culture and exceptionalism.
- We must refocus and dedicate more time to improving English, Math, and Science education.
Stop the fiscal bloat.
- Stop the frivolous spending and administrative bloat.
- Rebalance the operations budget to direct funds in support of teachers & classrooms.
- Improve the way we keep the public informed to assure parents we are listening. Find a way to answer questions publicly and prove we are responsive.
Stop exploiting our kids.
- We need clear policy preventing biological males in the girls' restrooms, locker-rooms, and sports teams.
- Ensure school library inventories are easily available for parental review, and free from objectionable materials.
- Put an end to adults in school discussing topics belonging in the home, church, or temple. Stop taking advantage of our children and their innocence.
Serving The Community
I volunteered for active duty as an Army special operations officer after 9-11. When I finally retired, we moved here to raise our daughter closer to family. My goals are the same as most - ensure we have a community where we can raise our children in peace and tranquility.
We must be firm and committed to re-establishing traditional norms in our communities and schools.
I bring 20 years of experience building coalitions, working with aspiring governments, and conducting strategic analysis for the Department of Defense.
